Artistic Direction, Pamela Epple
Serenata of Santa Fe Artistic Director and Oboist Pamela Epple is from the Midwest. Her vision for the group is to extend the variety of chamber music offerings in Santa Fe.

Pamela graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Art and Music, and received B.M. and M.M. degrees from the Juilliard School in 1977. There, she studied with the late Ronald Roseman, and more recently with Elaine Douvas. While in NY, she maintained an active freelance career, as a member of the American Composer’s Orchestra, P.D.Q. Bach and the Paul Taylor Dance Co. Orchestra, among others. She was a founding member of the Aspen Woodwind Quintet, the NY chamber music group Tafelmusik, and toured in the US and abroad with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Festivals include Aspen, Monadnock, Angel Fire, Ouray, Moab, and Yale-in-Norfolk. Locally, Ms. Epple has played English Horn with Musica da Camera, the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Symphony, Desert Chorale, The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra; and Principal Oboe with the San Juan (Durango, CO) Symphony, The Santa Fe Pro Musica, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival Outreach program.  Ms. Epple maintains an active teaching studio, specializing in private teaching for young oboists, as well as a chamber music coach. In the summer she teaches and performs at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson, New Hampshire.
